Seems everyone wants to learn how to use their camera, so my photography classes have been filled.
Boudoir photography sessions have slowed down, but will pickup again for Valentines day.
Sometimes I get clients for maternity photographer work the were boudoir clients before. Hmmm, I wonder.
First of all, I have been teaching constantly. And I have schedule a lot of photography classes and workshops. So now is the time to learn all my tricks.
I played around with water for a bunch of boudoir photographs. Be sure to check them out. Next summer I will be doing this again.
And maternity and newborn photography is always popular. I love it when my maternity clients return for their newborn photos. It lets me enjoy a bit of that special time in their life.
Orcatek Photography is now working with CinemaTique Creative Group to produce an wide variety of project including UFOria TV, Soldier (a new docudrama), music videos and educational services.
Of course we will still provide all the services we are known for such as amazing boudoir photography, beautiful maternity photographs, cute newborn photos, head shots, automotive photography and photography classes and workshops.
Time to catch everyone up on what has been happening here at my Phoenix Studio. Okay, technically Tempe, but drive 1/2 mile north and you are in Scottsdale, and 1/2 mile west and you are in Phoenix, so close enough.
I have been teaching more introduction to photography classes than I can count. Lots of eager students. I love teaching.
Doing more pin-up than usual. The studio is a great place for pin-up photography. Here is a sample pin-up I call Windy Day.
I always like to create something in the classic style of some of my favorite vintage pin-up artists like Gil Elvgren.
And just in time for Father’s Day I had the chance to create this touching father and son photo of a newborn baby and his dad.

The big news is that I was part of a reality show this week. I can’t reveal anything until it airs, sometime in December.
Pregnancy was the them as I have been very busy with some amazing future moms creating maternity portraits. I love it when they bring in some new ideas. Just when I think I’ve seen it all, they surprise me.
I was published again. This time in a national fashion magazine called Eliza. I did an underwater fashion shoot featuring retro swimwear.
Some interesting boudoir photo sessions also added to my schedule. Their custom books are going to arrive any day.
I also taught a lot of photography classes recently, including studio lighting workshop and fine art nude photography workshop.
This weekend’s introduction to photography class sold out early. There is still some room in the introduction to studio lighting. I also added two more introduction to photography class later in the month.
I shot some fun couples maternity photos this week. I love to shoot couples as part of a maternity photography session. It is great to show the love for a new baby.
Boudoir photos kept me so very busy this week. Lots of amazing women came to the studio for the photo shoots. Everyone wanted to remain private so I can’t show you any photos this time.
My favorite shoot was for Flashes of Hope at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. A great cause that I love to volunteer for whenever I can.

I photographed a lit bit of everything this week, which makes for a fun week. As usual I got calls for headshots that were needed right away. I usually can squeeze a session in same day if the client is flexible on time.
Several boudoir photography clients came in to create that special gift for the man in their lives. One was a bride to be who wanted a bridal boudoir session to create a grooms gift. Another was celebrating an anniversary. And one was just about to turn 40 and wanted to get the photos done to celebrate. It made for an amazing week.
Maternity photographs were also in high demand this week. One of the lucky moms was going to have twins. I’m looking forward to her return for her newborn photo session.
A new model came in to get some new photos for her portfolio. She was just a beginner but was great fun to work with.

That storm this weekend was needed, we always need rain, but it sure did get cold. We all survived and it will be way too hot before too long. This week was filled with boudoir photography, maternity photo sessions and photography classes.

In between the rain this past week, I’ve been very busy. Two days were spent teaching a fine art nude photography workshop. The workshop was a huge success. For more info on workshops, send an email to [email protected]
Numerous boudoir photo shoots took place here at the studio and a few on location. There were a few brides to be, a birthday and a anniversary shoot. All great reasons to give the gift he’ll never expect and never forget.
And the week wouldn’t be complete with out a few beautiful maternity photography clients. This week was no exception. Such an amazing group of woman this past week.
Next week is already filling up with magazine shoots, boudoir photo sessions and maybe a newborn if she delivers soon. It’s great being a photographer here in Phoenix with so many wonderful people.

Several students came to the studio for private photography lessons. A few were repeat students coming in to take more advance classes. I love teaching photography to enthusiasts.
Maternity photography was another busy area. Some very excited moms to be came in to capture their pregnancy bellies. Even some of the siblings got in on the act.
And of course there was a lot of boudoir photography for Valentines that kept my very busy. So many amazing woman gave such a personal gift to that special man in their lives.
Business is growing slowly but surely. I have recently expanded my boudoir photography into Las Vegas. With it being a popular destination for so many, it makes it the perfect place for boudoir photos.
